All too often on the Facebook gun groups, Reddit, and on gun forums, we see things like this: “Well, it’s cold out, I guess I can start to carry my big gun again.” The notion is that, since you’re wearing more clothes it’s easier to hide the gun on your body. And, of course, we all believe that having more ammunition on you is better than less. 

2020 is upon us, and there is almost no better time to make a new goal to train more often than there is right now.

While this could be a great idea, there are some things you need to consider and a few rules you should follow to make sure you don’t get yourself, or the person you’re giving to, in trouble.

Far too often we hear people say something like, “that may be a good grip for you, but people should grip the gun in whatever way feels most comfortable to them.”

Whether you’re new to firearms or are a high-level competition shooter, dry fire practice is critical to developing, improving, and maintaining the multitude of skills you need to be safe and proficient with your firearm.
